The Not So Smart Smart Cars

Really?! Why are they really called smart cars? After all, doesn't that imply some sort of higher thinking and reasoning? I know our technology has advanced to almost the point of being sentient but put a driver behind the wheel and our cars must do as we say. Ok back to smart cars....put one daring and crazy driver behind the wheel (in a hurry) and he'll pass with inches to spare. Really quite breathtaking. But, we all survived....sightseeing Americans, crazy driver and of course our aforementioned smart car.
We began our day in chocolate heaven at the Ritter factory. Breakfast included cappuccino with a piece of chocolate at the bottom of the cup, scrambled eggs and juice. Amazing. Onto the factory store with seemingly endless rows of chocolate which you could add to your basket ...and we did.
Next we ventured out to Tubingen, a beautiful town with an old center. A small stream meanders through the narrow alleyways eventually meeting up with a grand river. There are cute boutiques and charming restaurants. Very fun and worth an afternoon visit for sure.
Back home to our favorite garden to share a bottle of italian Amarone wine. The Cadillac of vino.... rich, complex and full of earthy notes. Certainly not a small a wine to be easily forgotten, unlike that not so smart smart car.
