Heidiland

A stunning but warm morning in Lucerne with breakfast on the river. Gary and I had our morning walk along the waterfront and stumbled across the famous lion carved into a cliff. It represents the Swiss mercenaries who were killed in the French Revolution.
Time to head on up the Alps....destination Murren and the land of Heidi. We traveled a panoramic train, cable car, and small train to this little town. Fondue, apple cider, evening walk. Not sure it gets any better. Tomorrow we look for Heidi as we hike the mountains.
